[Review] Lumintop GT Mini (XP-L Hi, 18650) ~ Outdoor beamshot comparison with other flashlights

The flashlight was sent to me by Banggood for review.
Here's the product's link: Lumintop GT Mini

The flashlight comes in a regular, thick cardboard box.

The light itself is seated into foam cushioning to protect it during shipping.

2 extra o-rings and a blue adjustable wristband is what the accessory list includes.

The GT Mini comes with Lumintop's standard black matte anodization.
The overall design is quite minimal and subtle.

The head implements the electronic side switch and a couple of deep heatsinking grooves.

The e-switch is guarded by a polished aluminum ring, while it's backlight function is configurable.

Being an e-switch operated flashlight, the tail of the light is plain simple.

The threads of the body are among the smoothest I have ever encountered.
They are square cut and anodized and came nicely lubricated from the factory.

In order to cope with the high current requirements of the FET driver, the tail pcb implements a dual spring design.

On the other hand, the positive contact is using a very thick, short Beryllium Copper spring.

The XP-L HI is housed inside a smooth reflector.
My sample arrived with excellent aliment.

The bezel is minimal - protruding just enough to protect the glass lens.

User Interface

I won't be going through an extensive analysis as the GT Mini comes with Narsil.
I can surely say that the provided UI is probably my favorite firmware currently available.
The firmware provides both regular modes and ramping (which I prefer) as well as a ton of customization options through its integrated menu.

Performance

Here's my measuments using a fully charged Saumsung 25R 18650 cell.

And here's Turbo compared to my other lights.

According to me readings, the GT Mini should be pushing around 1300Lumen on full power.
The standby drain is 185μΑ with the indicator light ON and 25μΑ with OFF.

Sofirn C8A (barely reaching) - Sofirn C8F (not reaching) - Jaxman E2L (not reaching)

Overall a very, very impressive compact thrower.
As you might have noticed, its performance is close to my Convoy L2 (WW XP-L HI) running at ~3.2A and its definitely surpassing any fet driven C8 Smile

Yes, really nice review.

BTW, add that the positive spring contact is made of Beryllium Copper.

So that changes the sentence to this:

On the other hand, the positive contact is using a very thick, short Beryllium Copper spring.

Thanks for your kind comment Smile

I am indeed trying to keeping my readings conservative rather making them blow up!
