Sofirn C8A & C8T low voltage warning error

Hi all,

Has anyone else noticed that the Sofirn C8A & C8T driver trips the low voltage warning on a fully charged cell. I sell these online and have gone through approx 20 and all have the same issue which happens at random. I can only get it to do this on High mode by switching mode groups frequently.

What would cause this? Firmware or a component on the driver?

EDIT: Can only get it to give this issue while the cell is above 4V

Video I made for Sofirn -

Hi. C8T here.

I got Panasonic B in mine. Used regularly, Like every night for 10 min’s or so.
So far Nothing happened that shouldn’t. But don’t play with modes.
Just the basic 3 mode makes me happy.

If it does start. I’ll just swap out driver for basic 1 2 or 3 mode.
I’m dreading the C8+ when it arrives. First thing will be a swap out I think.
I’d like it 1or 2, 35/40ish and 100%. Nuttin’ else.

I have noticed this randomly in a C8 I modded with this driver. Unscrewing the tailcap resets it. Have no clue why.

They probably making those drivers too complex for the cheap material/parts.
Keep ’em basic, with better quality maybe.

They are not any more complicated than the drivers commonly used around here.

I wonder if the problem is similar to the problems experienced with the X6 driver.

Sofirn have just informed me that they’re currently working on an updated driver so I’m very much looking forward to an improved UI
