Instant thought: you should also take a look at CMA & CMT series - they have 95CRI high fidelity version as well

(Now I start watching your video)

I really liked the way it produced light in the mule form. Maybe you could add a dome/diffuser to screw to the top when the reflector is removed. Amazing work.

Cool project and great execution. :+1:

I’ve wondered about these big LEDs as a way to get a whole lot of lumens in a flashlight. But the luminance is just not that high, right? Did you measure the throw?

Basically. There are a bunch of small dies under the yellow gel in the center. They are spread out and not a tight knit. Combined output is high but surface brightness is less than a hard driven single die. I’ve not had a chance to do a good solid control test of the lux yet, but a quickie test on the light meter indicates approximately 162,000 CD

That thing is crazy man. I gotta say the way the knob for the potentiometer came out looks great.

Wondering how this LED would perform in this size of reflector? The GT application kinda reminds me of running a Hemi with a 2-barrel carb.

Nice work VOB!

Awesome mod!

Nice work VOB, I haven’t even got the parts in yet to mod mine to level of your previous video !

Great job Matt…always entertaining and educational!

Omg thats so awesome. You make it look so easy . How is the heat ? And battery life?

This is pretty awesome. This build make it look like it belongs in there. Good work!

Simply amazing! :+1:

Very impressive, Matt! Well done, it looks like it was made to be that way. That’s some serious lumens… hows the heat?

great mod and video VOB

love your work!

Your videos are just the best. I’m always super hyped when a new Adventure Sport Flashlights video comes up. :+1:

Amazing job well done. It looks more than 160kcd. Or maybe it’s just me wishful thinking.
Why couldn’t it been like 500kcd with 16k lumens!! That would make one beast of a light.
I wish you showed your 70.2 version for comparison. I think I liked that one a tiny bit more. 9k Lumens and 1 million lux

Have you considered DC-Fix to remove the donut?

Very nicely done VoB!! Pretty amazing in fact……
