Impermanent tritium glue

I’m waiting for some trits to arrive. So far all my trits are held with friction or nail varnish.
I see in the SD26 thread that the general recommendation is to use optical UV glues. But I want something that will allow me to remove the trits and put them in another light.

Suggestions?

Transparent silicon glue?

Won’t Acetone remove the Nail Varnish?

Acetone removes nail varnish. But since nobody recommended it I thought that maybe for some reason it’s not a good option…
I’ll read on silicone glue as well….thanks.

Hot glue?
Easy to peel and remove as a whole piece without leaving residue, but holds pretty well if the surfaces are clean.

Cheap UV glue

I’ve been using this for years. A little dab underneath holds well and can be removed with heat if you’re careful.

Or I use it to encase the trit for more permanent uses.

Glueing with super glue is not advisable, is it?

Thanks for the suggestions. Since nobody suggested problems with nail varnish, I’ll keep using it since I can’t justify buying another glue when this is just available at hand.

Also dissolves in AcMe, so why not?

I use the same stuff as CRX but I don’t intend to remove the tubes once glued. For what your doing I don’t see any reason to switch.
The glue CRX linked comes in pretty handy some times.
If you need to glue something and need time to place the parts or your holding it in place the UV glue works great.
Put a little on the parts or tubes move them around to your liking, pull out a Convoy S2 Nichia UV light and turn it on, point it at the glue, 10 seconds later its hard and the parts or tube is set. The ability to set the glue anytime you choose to set it, is quite different from other glues and I have found it very useful for a lot of different things. Worth its money to a hobbyist.
