Old time lurker here looking to see if anything new/improved to the SRK has been released. My SRK finally gave out so I am looking for something better to replace it with. Anything new out there with a similar or wider beam pattern that doesn’t break the pocket that is just as bright or brighter?

You’ll need unprotected button-top batteries. The Samsung 30Q are the most popular for this light.

Definitely the BLF Q8. its much brighter, better built, has better modes, better tint, pretty much better in every way over the old SRK.
Just to add to all the BLF Q8 suggestions, there’s also the Sofirn Q8 variant which is more or less the same light but with XP-L Hi instead.
Yes, the new Sofirn version would be better for those of us who want a bit more throw. But the OP mentioned a “wider” beam, so probably better to go with the BLF Q8 instead.

Also check out the Fireflies ROT66. It’s sorta like the Q8 in output, but the entire light is only 2/3 the size. Also comes in super-high-CRI version.
