CRX Copper Tube Light IIII

CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.Version four copper tube flashlight using the scrap 15mm copper tube and spare parts again.Copper TubeCree XM-L2 5C? Emitter
10mm SinkPad MCPCB
Copper slug heatsink
QTC Variable/ Direct Drive output
OP Reflector
ARC Glass
Copper shell & aluminium core
Twisty Switch operation
Interchangeable tail accessories
Length – 75mm (bare)
Width – 15mm
Weight – 48g (with 10440 cell)
Max – 725lm/ QTC Variable

This light has a Prometheus Beta QR Electroless Nickel core that was fairly beaten up and gifted to me so I thought I would rebuild it with some copper.

The head has a copper slug and I made a QTC pill for the tail giving variable output and direct drive when tightened fully.CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.

I decided to make some extra tail accessories. The original light come with the brass hanging attachment.
I made the clip and magnetic attachments. An interesting design using a coiled spring and grooves for retention.CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.

Carabiner clip attachment.CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.

Magnetic Attachment.CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.

Pocket Clip attachment.

Due to the removable nature of the clip it is really only suitable for clipping inside a shirt pocket etc.CRX Copper Tube Light IIII - XM-L2 - QTC Variable.DD - 10440 - Twisty Sw - 725lm.

Reaaaally sweet M8 !
I was lurking at the beta attachment system the other day and found the coil spring retaining really innovative !
Well done !

Errrr, I think you’ve forgotten about the little pocket rocket copper beastie you very kindly gave me. Or is she the prototype mam of all of these? Still chugging along nicely by the way.
