Aliexpress "payment failed"

Aliexpress "payment failed"

Hi

 

For 3 days i can't pay with my Visa card on Aliexpress, each time i try i get a "payment failed" error.

Sometimes the reason is "there is an information error with your payment", sometimes a simple "System error".

I had to ask Simon from Convoy store to give me his paypal to be able to pay him directly wich wasn't a problem since i trust him enough but i can't do that for the average AE shop and AE's fee on Paypal payment is too high to use it on a regular basis.

I verified with my bank and there seem to be nothing special on my side.

 

Am i the only one or that is that general thing ?

 

Edit : i forgot to say that i have already made many payment on AE with the same account and same card without a problem

Ask anyone at AX directly?

I had that happen with someone else, think they had a glitch on their system, so all I did was delete all payment info they had stored, and redid it anew. Seemed to work.

Don’t think it was AX, but the principle should be the same.

eventually (no one will tell you what the real reason is) i tried another card and it worked

I asked AE help, sent them screenshot, was answered that they would work on that and that i have to try again later ... that was 2 days ago and still nothing new so i ask here Wink

I have never registered my card infos so each time i enter it again

no one will tell you , they either cannot or do not know what is wrong
even your credit card won;t tell you

might be something stupid like capitalizing your address, or not capitalizing
or you are bob smith on your credit card but trying to order and pay as robert smith or even bob a smith

9 digit zip code vs 5 digit

I was contacted by two shops this morning. They asked me to cancle my order and please reorder. Some kind of glitch with the payment (i payed with PP). Its not the first time that this has happend. But i will wait untill the unfullfilled payment is also closed in my PP account before i reorder.
To contact the CS is totaly useless. I have spend many many hours with them and it is o lot of bla bla we do everything. . . . and nothing happend.

Update (and rant):

Contacted CS again ... was asked to send the same screenshots once again, explained the same things once again, got lots of pre-writtten sentences like "i know you feel frustrated, please forgive us", "we understand this is not easy for you, we will do our best to help" but that time, beside being asked to wait some more (my problem was now taged as urgent !) i was told that i would receive an answer by email within 2 days.

Ok i got my email this morning and the answer is "Please change the payment method and try it"

Very helpfull and so wise Wink

I don't have an other card i could use otherwise i would have tried that without asking, AE's fee on paypal payements is just crazy and i am not willing to register on their own system seeing how they have no clue what's going on with my card.

Well done Aliexpress it looks like you just lost a customer !

Bumping this because I have the same issue. Does anyone else get a system error message when trying to pay with Paypal? I ordered a few things a month or two ago without issue, but now I get a system error message whenever I go to pay.

Just a few days ago I couldn’t pay, looked like some ali site bug. There was a spinning wheel and the system went back to the payment page. No error message. Same on 2 browsers….but it worked on mobile.

Charging US tax, breaking their own website multiple times… looks like they’re working hard to f themselves and lose customers.

You were trying to pay with Paypal correct? I might try the mobile app…

Mmm sorry ! It seems i forgot to update this thread !

Some time after my last post i tried again to contact CS and after a few try i was told to register on some "special thing" on AE (sorry i don't remember what it was exactly but it looked like i was kind of registering on AE again) and after that (and a bit more waiting iirc) i was able to pay mith my Visa again.

 

Note :

From what i can guess my account was tagged as suspicious and not allowed to use any payement method (iirc at some point i tried to pay with my gf's card and with paypal and nothing worked) until everything was checked again.

The sad part is that their CS was totally cueless about what was happening so it took several weeks to get things sorted !

You were trying to pay with Paypal correct? I might try the mobile app…

No, I tried mastercard, PayU and Przelewy24. All the same.
I succeeded with mobile website, I never install untrusted apps….and actually I strongly apply principle of least authority – I may grant a bank the rights to keep all my money but I won’t install their app to spy on me even more.
