Thank you :+1: I was wondering about that.

I have a 219D for testing at home (given by Clemence) but never came round to that. FYI, it is very easy to dedome because it seems to have a glass dome.

This is a very interesting flashlight actually, the way it operates it seems to have an e-switch in the tail, but without an extra current path like the FW3A, so it must work like the Tool AAA Ti. Also it looks good, it is compact, and the user interface makes sense, with the added gadget of a countdown timer.

And I bought one :innocent:

Thanks! (Used the link) :+1:

Seems quite interesting. And very short! Thanks for sharing!

It looks to be a warm tint but I didn't see the spec. Does anyone know? Or do I need to do my research?

You never know with pictures, but the tint was not given by my knowledge. I will change the led anyway, probably.

Thank you Djozz!

So, it's going to be neutral to warm according to this:

Nichia 219D

I didn't think these could hit 900 lm. I don't see it in the specs but am I missing something?

We will see…
It does motivate me to do this emitter test one of these days.

Great! I look forward to reading it.

It took a while before I found the led in my, ahem, “system”, and unfortunately it appears to be a 119D, so with the two-pad solder pattern instead of the common 3-pad XP pattern. So testing it will not give an accurate impression of the 219D. I guess I will have to rob the 219D from the Folomov light when it arrives then.

@djozz
Some beam shots please before you remove the emitter…You may be the first to receive the light.

Sure, if I’m the first I will post a brief review with some beamshots and numbers.

And a nice front view of the emitter :innocent:
Can’t find one anywhere.

So just to be clear, this is an e-switch in the tail?

Yeah I’d love to know how that works too.

Folomov was messaging me so I asked them, apparently it’s 3000 K

Maukka has said that he expected 119d to perform better.
