Disappointed with Acebeam EC50 Gen III

I was recently asked to recommend an EDC flashlight for law enforcement purposes, the one request that it be USB chargeable, or less preferable but still acceptable, dock chargeable, owning an Acebeam K40M ring/collar controlled flashlight, that is a superb quality unit, and having used Zebralight SC600 Mk, 1, 2 and 4s for my own work related EDC purposes I figured that the 22650 powered Acebeam EC50 Gen iii torch would be a great in between of these flashlights.

22650 batteries for good power and run time, USB chargeable, side mounted button for ease of accessing modes & switching on/off, a 5 year warranty and a brand that will hopefully stick around, anyway, much to my annoyance the side mounted switch allows very easy inadvertent activation of the light, the switching action is fairly light and the switch itself is not really recessed at all, even when using the holster nuisance activation can occur.

I realise the torch can be locked out via holding the switch down for three seconds, however then you have a delay in turning the flashlight on, no good, you can undo the tail cap 1/16th of a turn, but I can’t recommend that as a viable solution to the owner either.

So I was wondering if anyone had better ideas, A good alternative 18650-22650 USB/dock rechargeable light without a side switch, or a recessed switch, as subsequent searching shows most of the flashlights have the same problem, a better holster?

I am open to any ideas.

I really feel this is a huge design flaw, my old side switch SC600 Mk 1 never had this problem and was my favourite light for some time.

Thanks for your time.

Edit, I almost feel bad for aiming this at Acebeam, the Imalent, Lumintop, Olight, Thrunite, Klarus & Jetbeam, flashlights visually look like they are similar? The Manker U11 and U21 switch appears a little recessed.

On this category, my personal favorite is Rofis MR70. 26650 battery, USB rechargeable, can be used as powerbank, main (cold) led + secondary (warm) led, exceptional quality, comes with holster and battery, does not activate by itself.
