Can the illuminated button be switched off?

At night I would like to only have the aux LEDs switched on.
And the button off…

Holy shot! That would be sweet! Maybe 48 White Flat 2mm at 1.5MCD would be a dream come true. Imagine using Anduril lightning mode. That will make you truly feel like Thor like Flashaholic said.

But I have a feeling they wouldn’t want to make something that expensive. At that price, people will be expecting perfection, which is unlikely to achieve for a light of this calibur, and some will be taking advantage of Paypal disputes to get free lights from them for minor imperfections so there’s too big of a risk to make such an expensive light. I hope I’m wrong and FF does have plans to make world record breaking lights at the top end.

Quick calc, 1.5 Mcd with a 1mm white flat would require a 10cm reflector, just one 18650 would do the job. The 2mm2 white flat would need a bigger reflector, and more than one battery would be most convenient.

Don’t think so but you can always have the illuminated button face away from you if it bothers you.

But I’m wishing for 60k+ lumens at 1.5MCD. Big Smile

^so do I, but I’d be ok with the limited output if the light is kept lightweight and compact (I’m still in favor of the box format, batteries and electrical parts at the side of the reflector, led mounted directly on a finned heatsink).

Nope. Two of the four button LEDs are hardwired to power, and can’t be turned off without disconnecting power. The other two are controlled in sync with the aux LED board, so it can’t have one on while the other is off. Sad

Tapping 3 times adds a 30 minute timer to candle mode, does 6 taps add an hour?

Interesting to see what is next for Fireflies. Each of their 3 offerings have been quite different.

In case they did, just a few suggestions:

Soda can size with heavy duty heat sinking, don't care if it's  heavy as long as it can run turbo for a little longer than normal.

4 x 21700 with "no" battery pack.

Led with individual battery voltage  readout.

and finally, as nice looking or better than an E07

I received my E07 yesterday and it’s glorious! Clear XPL-HI with purple leds. Everything in great condition. The very amusing thing is that the “tracking” still shows no movement since December 24th and that it’s still waiting in Fremont, CA awaiting USPS pickup. I was planning on contacting Fireflies tomorrow as it would have been 3 weeks since the first and only “tracking” update. Thankfully, the flashlight appeared yesterday which was quite surprising as I’d been monitoring the tracking site everyday.

How long total did it take you to get your light? Order-arrived?

Heatwaves, my tracking also showed the light picked up by a shipping partner in Fremont CA on Dec 24th. Then after almost a week it showed awaiting acceptance in LA. Still showing that, I got notification from my local Post Office that it’s in town and to be delivered tomorrow. Never seen tracking list out like this…

Just for info, ff said my first E07 was shipped out Dec 10.  Still doesn't show up with tracking and still missing in action.

Second E07 was shipped out Dec-30 and today tracking shows it  has arrived at Canada Customs for further review. If I'm lucky, I may get at least one of them before the end of this month.

That was a masterpiece of a video. Thank you for your time and creativity and for not only showing the beam but the comparisons too. Really great!

Got my E07 today, amidst some rushing around… Looks beautifully made, the fins are much much deeper than I realized and they actually left a solid bit between the fins in back for the lanyard to attach to, very neat! This one is very precisely made, fits a 30T but doesn’t actually like a 30T… the 5000K SST-20’s go blue on it freshly charged. Sad

This one also has the broken off leg on the optic. Seems so very strange for the light to be so well made and yet messed up on assembly. I honestly don’t see that it impacts the actual use of the light though, beam profile looks really good except for the tint shift of the 20’s, I don’t care for the color of the light when in lower modes. Really nice at the top of the ramp and at full Turbo though. I’m using a 20700 Efest in it to good effect, so far.

The purple Aux LED’s are mesmerizing, just gotta love em! My switch LED’s are aligned perfectly, I don’t normally pay that much attention but it does look nice with the alignment done just so. Wink

Alas, I will almost undoubtedly go inside. My inner OCD will force me to put the screw where it belongs. And the emitters will just have to be changed. The odd lemongrass look of the tint at lower levels is more than I can abide.

If a new optic were available I’d certainly buy it. Fireflies? Please make the optics available for replacement. Too many broken legs, I personally don’t mind buying a new one, wouldn’t ask for it to be replaced on warranty or anything, but I don’t really want to jump through a lot of hoops ordering it from Dino or something either.

Overall, a very neat light that is muchly enjoyable. A win even with a few little hiccups…

Has anyone found a suitable diffuser yet? I think it would be great while using the candle mode and even lightning mode.
