Inexpensive eBay Flashlight

I found an auction for "SKYRAY 32000LM Light 12x CREE XM-L T6 LED Torch 4x 18650 Hunting Lamp Flashlight"; the price was pretty reasonable, so I went ahead and got one. It should arrive in a few more days. I searched the forums for information on this light, but the most recent information is from like 2014 or 2015. Can anyone tell me anything else about this light, or point me in the direction of already existing material?

Thanks!

Welcome to BLF :+1:

Although that was a good light, it has now been surpassed by others, with real lumens (as the 32000 advertised are not real) and at inexpensive prices as well

If you wanna know some more, search “SkyRay King” and you’ll see that it was a famous light back then (and still is)!
Now you will have lights like the BLF Q8 or Sofirn Q8 that have the same form but are much more powerful and not that much expensive (with some coupons or deals)!

Thank you! I'm still trying to absorb all the terms. I understand "OTF" lumens, for example, and am trying to understand the candle power in terms of what I'm going to see. The other thing I'm working on is figuring out the measure for continuous output, aside from the 15 - 30 seconds some lights have so they can place the largest lumen value on their packaging.

This flashlight was about $17 before batteries/charger, so it'll be fun to play with it and, if it sucks, an inexpensive lesson.

Thanks again for contributing to my education. :-)

Every flashlight enthusiast should own a SkyRay King. This light has modding potential, I improved my 7x King to about 7000 lumens with (genuine) XM-L2 LEDs and a new driver for little money, about two years ago. Was an impressive output that time, and is still my brightest light. Typically these lights have an output of about 2000 lumens stock.
