I’d like to send you a lot of batteries for testing. I’m afraid you’re too busy.

With >2800mAh I have a couple of months queue, but the test station for the smaller sizes is basically empty. I have been using it to test cheap batteries on (I do not care about the <=2800mAh rating for cheap batteries).
The reason for the split at 2800mAh is to always test same capacity on same test station, this gives the absolutely best comparison (There is a small difference between the two test stations).

ok Thanks

Indeed. I was not a fan of 16340 format. Too close to 18350 and way less capable.
But this cell significantly reduces the gap.
And add availability of USB rechargable cells – 16340 becomes interesting.

EDC = Every Day Carry

Another words, a light that’s small enough to carry around all the time.

I EDC 2 kinds of lights:
  • neck ones
    • 16340 is far too large already….but nevertheless acceptable
      • I’ve worn lights up to 25.4 mm in diameter – so even 21700 would do. Big Smile
  • backpack ones
    • Lumintop GT Mini 18350 for quite some time already
    • the size difference between 16340 and 18350 is meaningless here

I really wish I had a better driver in my Utorch S1 Mini. BLF firmware, FET, good cell, quad E21…ah, that’s a nice dream. Smile
And some really low diameter 16340 light, say 19-19.5 mm would be even better. Smile

Just placed my order. Thanks Dennis and Vapcell for making this happen. Thumbs Up
I’ll give them a good discharge test and see how they perform.

@ Dennis …. I am gonna order a few 14500’s Flat top & Button Top.

Question: Are the “Button Tops” ‘securely’ spot welded??

Thanks in advance….. Thumbs Up

Really interested in seeing that red 2800mah cell. Molicel has been kicking serious ass lately according to Mooch’s review. Hoping the P28A will be better than the current best performers VTC5D and VTC6A.

Safe to use, directly welded, no nickel strip

If a larger shear force is applied, it may fall off.

Thank you very much. I got two samples a few months ago. I didn’t test them. If I tested them, it would affect the performance of the battery.

Direct to HKJ test, but lost on the way

unfortunately Crying

I heard that the performance is better than P26A. It can be compared with VTC5D.

Thank you Dennis!! That sounds great.
I just wanted to make sure they were spot welded. Thumbs Up

Sorry for the silly question, how is everyone ordering the 16340 cells?
When I click on the link in the first post and in Maukka’s post #95, both links are not in English.
I can’t seem to find where to change the language.
Thanks for any help!

Here is the right link purged of everything:

Should give you a link in English.

Close your browser too just in case.

Damned… I just recently got a couple 650 and 700 mAh 16340’s. How much extra run time do you get out of 100mAh in this cell size?

Would have to see how much current your light uses. If you use higher current the difference will be not insignificant

The Vapcell 14500 is one of a kind. I also use it in my Reylight Ti and it is perfect combo. I tested two of them to be about 1000mah. I’ll get some Vapcell 16340 later too once I find a good 16340 light.
