biscotti not functioning properly.

flashed biscotti sometimes it works but more often it acts strange. some times a mode step will be missing ie moon>low>blank>high sometimes it will it be go into a really fast strope/buzz and stop changing modes and other times theres just no light.

its really hard to get into the config menu but does happen occasionally so i can select.
but sometimes it will switch groups without me changing it.

i had to desolder the wire to flash it, is it possible ive burnt out one of the components? also i desoldered pin 5 on the mcu.

or is it possible i messed up the flash?

alsoit wont work with 18350s or lighted tail switch at all.

Maybe it would help if you explained in which piece of hardware this driver operates, but I’ll give it a try.

- being a mechanical engineer, I start by giving all wires/components a little yank.
To see if something has come loose. Because that is what it looks like (atm).
Find out if the retaining rings for the driver and for the tail switch are a bit loose.

- if it were a BLF A6 (Astrolux S1?), I know the short tube is really short, maybe a bit too short.
Try reversing the tube, or put a piece of a paperclip between tube and head to see if things improve.

- It has often been discussed that the biscotti driver and a lighted tail are not a match made in heaven.

sorry its convoy s2+
yeah ive tried all of that except paperclip, ill try that.

thx

i was going to add a bleeder resistor for the tail cap led but use the generic one until it arrives.

I have a light with a Biscotti driver in it that was doing similar things. I had one of those cheapy blue lighted tail switches in it. Drove me nuts. Put in a stock tail switch and all was well. Never did add a bleeder because the lighted tail switch wasn’t really that important to me. I just had one laying around and I’m not one to leave well enough alone.
