11.11 deal Sofirn 21700 4000 40A 2x for $10.42 Free Shipping Ali Express

2x for $10.42, 4x for $16.57 with free shipping.

My understanding is that this cell, which is the one they ship with the C8F v2 kit, has good capacity & performance, especially for the price.

This is from Sofirn’s separate battery store.

Available for another 17hrs at the time I’m posting this.

I ordered four. I also decided to give Sofirn’s 900mAh 14500 a try.

I got one of these cells with my C8F. I ran the capacity test on my Opus BT-C3100 and got a few hundred mAh more than 4000mAh. I didn’t write down the value, I just remember being pleased it was actually higher than 4000mAh.
And I just received my new XTAR Dragon charger with the built-in IR test probes and measured every one of my cells. The Sofirn 21700, 4000mAh cell measures 14milliohms- the lowest of all my cells.

Kewl, actually 15.57, ‘cause there’s a coupon for a buk off if spending 12bux. Got applied automagically (thought it may’ve been for lights only, but it got applied to this, too).

So, color me happy.. even though I have no idea what I’ll use these in, ‘cept the new C8Fs.

Deal is still good. Make sure you click the box for Nominal Voltage – 3.7V before you select the quantity.

Got them finally. I had an ad blocker that was blocking alibaba-express site functions.

I ordered some of the yellow-wrap Liitokala 21700s last month. They don’t look like the ones HJK reviewed. The tail ends are plain, rather than having a concentric ring embossed in the metal.

That’s one of the reasons I wanted to get some of these Sofirn branded cells.

Will 21700 cells fit properly in tubes that take 3xAAA holders?

Yes, assuming it can handle a bit of extra length.

I have a generic light that accepts 3xAAA (with the common 3xAAA battery holder), I decide to try putting in the Sofirn 4000mAh 21700 (bundle with C8F-21700) on that generic light, and it worked!

Bench Test Results, Early Samples: Molicel P42A 45A 4000mAh 21700…great 30A battery, beats 40T @ E-CigaretteForum

Has anyone gotten theirs yet?

I got a weirdo tracking number, “DDU”+bunchanumbers, never saw that before, no idea what carrier, the recommended 17track site doesn’t even load(!), and nothing else I threw at it shows anything, either.

Asked about it on AX, just got an unrelated salesblurb answer. Getting a bit concerned…

Hmmmm.

Not yet.

This is what my order looks like atm:

And my tracking shows THIS

I’m not worried, its only been a week and a half since ordering and its a busy postal time in China. I don’t expect to see my order for another few weeks at least.

Also not worried, they seemed pretty legit when asking a non-shipping question. Also, aren’t they the official Sofirn battery Ali store, as per the OP?

I didn’t get any tracking number from Hank even though it was over the necessary $ amount to get tracking, but my D4/D4S still got here in 17 days from China.

I think battery shipments are generally smuggled into the country by way of trained dolphins. So we won’t get tracking information until after their cargo has been dragged onto shore and into a truck on the next moonless night.

Mine are still “USPS Currently Awaiting Package.” I guess that’s progress though.

I’m sure you two will be getting them soon. The Zanflare F1 I ordered 11.11 from Madeline’s Ali store for ~$12, on the other hand… no idea, not even an emailed shipping notice yet.

Hope you don't freak out with the shipping thing in AliExpress. In my experience some orders from some sellers may take a few days to ship. I believe this is understandable but certain folks overreact with this, which is not good. When you shop for cheap free shipping stuff on eBay it often happens the items are reported as “shipped” in a fairly brief timeframe, something which at times makes me suspicious. However, since the provided tracking numbers for these items are fake, there's no way to know this (this way, that is).

This is about realizing how much a shipment can take to get ready for the shipping services. I am overall happy with the AliExpress thing. FastTech, for example, usually takes a nice deal of days to get an order shipped once a it has a few items, as a rule.

Do you want to be provided with faithful order information? Do you deserve to be provided with faithful order information? The latter ≠ the former.

Hmmmm.

Carrier is Brucargo/BPost International http://www.bpost2.be/bpostinternational/track_trace/find.php?lng=en

The vast majority of batteries that I buy in AE are sent by that means.

Tracking shows mine were delivered today, but I’m not home so I won’t get to test them until this weekend.
16 days from order to receipt is pretty good from an Aliexpress seller.
