I got one of these cells with my C8F. I ran the capacity test on my Opus BT-C3100 and got a few hundred mAh more than 4000mAh. I didn’t write down the value, I just remember being pleased it was actually higher than 4000mAh.
And I just received my new XTAR Dragon charger with the built-in IR test probes and measured every one of my cells. The Sofirn 21700, 4000mAh cell measures 14milliohms- the lowest of all my cells.
Kewl, actually 15.57, ’cause there’s a coupon for a buk off if spending 12bux. Got applied automagically (thought it may’ve been for lights only, but it got applied to this, too).
So, color me happy… even though I have no idea what I’ll use these in, ’cept the new C8Fs.
I ordered some of the yellow-wrap Liitokala 21700s last month. They don’t look like the ones HJK reviewed. The tail ends are plain, rather than having a concentric ring embossed in the metal.
That’s one of the reasons I wanted to get some of these Sofirn branded cells.
Yes, assuming it can handle a bit of extra length.
I have a generic light that accepts 3xAAA (with the common 3xAAA battery holder), I decide to try putting in the Sofirn 4000mAh 21700 (bundle with C8F-21700) on that generic light, and it worked!
I got a weirdo tracking number, “DDU”+bunchanumbers, never saw that before, no idea what carrier, the recommended 17track site doesn’t even load(!), and nothing else I threw at it shows anything, either.
Asked about it on AX, just got an unrelated salesblurb answer. Getting a bit concerned…
I’m not worried, its only been a week and a half since ordering and its a busy postal time in China. I don’t expect to see my order for another few weeks at least.
Also not worried, they seemed pretty legit when asking a non-shipping question. Also, aren’t they the official Sofirn battery Ali store, as per the OP?
I didn’t get any tracking number from Hank even though it was over the necessary $ amount to get tracking, but my D4/D4S still got here in 17 days from China.
I think battery shipments are generally smuggled into the country by way of trained dolphins. So we won’t get tracking information until after their cargo has been dragged onto shore and into a truck on the next moonless night.
