The lamp seems to have same lay out as their flashlight. Same modes, zooming function, AAA & 18650 capable. Got mine at Ross discounts for $6.50

Gubbish. Overpriced at $6.50.
At $6.50, it might be decent bang for the buck.
Sure it’s a cheap, junk light. But is it worth $6.50 … quite possibly. What other similar-size lights can you get for $6.50 that are much better?
At least $6.50 much better than the cheapy Harbor Freebie one.

Almost two years ago they were 3.69$ and I was tempted to buy some ... Just still mot enough to actually pull the trigger .
At 4-7$ I can undestand how a nonaholic might think it’s a nice light . I just think you’d have more in it to actually fix it (and still have a pos) than just buying a blowout priced cometa. .. just not worh modding
If that is the flashlight that you can get to when you really need it, well then that makes it priceless.
You posted this in the headlight forum, so I’m assuming they also make an atomic beam headlight and that’s what you bought? I’ve never seen a commercial for one - does someone have to be wearing the headlamp when it gets frozen in the block of ice / dropped from the 50 ft tower / run over by a tank?
Seriously, if it’s $6.50 for a headlamp and strap and it works reliably it’s probably worth buying one to keep in the car or use as a loaner. If I hadn’t just bought the Skilhunt H03 Gearbest had on sale for $26.99 I’d go check and see if the local Ross has any of the ones you bought.
This is about headlight. Not flashlight. But Atomic Beam does make a flashlight version. Believe or not I owned one of these. Bought for $10. Sold off. Harbor Freight version much better,
What part of Cali are you from? I saw at 1 store had about 20 plus of them. Tempted to pick up a few. But wanted to try it at least first. Here’s the one I am talking about.

Atomic Beam does not make lights. It’s just another distributor who has Chinese light manufacturers slap their brand name on the light and then sells it on TV or through stores like Walgreen. You can usually find exactly the same light on-line at much less. I find the package and Walgreen ad interesting because of the weasel words used on the packaging - “up to” 5000 Lux. Most people don’t have a clue as to what Lux means and anything that bright that ran on 3 AAA batteries would grow dim within minutes with even the best batteries. Walgreens (or CVS) is probably the last place I would think of when it comes to buying stuff like this headlamp.
If you are looking for a cheap but reliable single LED headlamp that runs on 18560 batteries, there are scads of them on eBay for a little over $5. I gave away a bunch of them last Christmas with no complaints from the recipients. These people are not interested in CRI or beam pattern, just does it work when I need it.
