WTB custom P60: 2.7-6V w/ many modes or DIY parts

I’m late to the P60 game but have heavily invested in Solarforce hosts as well as a variety of drop ins.

Since I live in an area where our winters are extremely cold I heavily rely on CR123a cells. I daily use 18650 batteries in my lights but all my backup kits are CR123a batteries.

What I’d like to get or build
Triple or quad neutral P60 for work
Single LED P60 for edc
Run at suitable amps to be safe with 2x CR123a and 18650
More than standard 3 modes, preference given for drivers that allow me to set levels or reprogram

Does anyone offer something like that will full mode support for 2x CR123a batteries not just low mode support?

Thanks

Geoffrey

At Mountain Electronics you can order a blank drop in. You can put whatever 17mm driver and whatever triple or quad 20mm MCPCB and emitters you like in it.

Or you can get one from Kaidomain, like this one:
http://kaidomain.com/Flashlight-DIY-and-Tools/led-drop-in/KDLITKER-P6-LED-Drop-in/KDLITKER-P6-TRI-Triple-Luminus-SST-20-1000-Lumens-3V-9V-P60-Drop-in

- Uses a buck driver, so supports voltages from a 3V-9V input, so you can use 2xCR123As with a compatible light for emergencies, or 2x18650 with a long P60 light for completely regulated runtime.

- Triple 95CRI 4000k SST-20, so excellent color rendition and tint.

- A max current of 2,8A with a buck driver and triple LEDs means it is quit efficient, and can sustain it nicely, even with CR123As.

  • It has a nice Very Low-Low-Medium-High user interface. You can ask Kaidomain to customize the firmware so you can get even lower lows, and more modes in between. Just ask, and they will do it for you.

I contacted KaiDomain and was told their drop ins cannot be run on two CR123a batteries at 6V. Thanks for the suggestion though.
