New cheaper versions of the wf980 for 18$ and more...

Today DX has added "old" lights but with more competitive prices:

WF980 equivalent for 18,40$ with XML led (the original wf980 was 26-28$) http://www.dealextreme.com/p/tb-d7-cree-xm-l-t6-8000k-900lm-5-mode-white... However dont know about the pill desing

Cheap C8 with XML for only 18,8$ http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-c8-t6-cree-xm-l-t6-800lm-5-mode-w... Smooth reflector

Another X8, this time FandyFire, with brass pill http://www.dealextreme.com/p/fandyfire-x8-cree-xml-t6-5-mode-1000lm-memo... 34,50$ and does not include batteries

Maybe now the wf980 equivalent should be the cheapest xml light with good throw?

Any chance this thing draws 5 amps like the uf980 lumen? Silly It is trying to copy that one, right?

Honestly, though, Prairie Fire sounds better than Fandyfire. I wouldn't even own a light with a ridiculous name, I don't think. lol

Really, I may buy. Time for new toy.

980 knock off looks interesting at that price.

Sorry guys, I have corrected the title... it is equivalent to the 980 not the 950 as I have written.

And yes, the price is good if it is well regulated and has a good pill, which I guess it has.

I would buy that in a UranusFire for sure.

CeaseFire - that's a good one.

Still waiting on the following:

BuddahFire

HouseFire

ArsonFire

ButtFire

GaneshFire  and GanapadiFire (for the Hindis)

JesusFire (for the Christians)

AllahFire and (wait for it) TheProphetMohammedFire

What about the TV tie-in, Donald Trump's You'reFiredFire.

it does look good. does anybody have the 980 and really like it? the head looks pretty big for pocket carry, but i'm sure it does better with heat than even a wrapped p60.

A prairie fire will always be a shot of tequila with a healthy dollop of hot sauce.

With the hilarious lumens claims, I am still waiting on the PantsonFire brand of lights.

Maybe it should come with a little sound clip

Goodness, gracious, GreatBallsO'Fire !!

Anyways,this thread cost me $18.

Seems like quite a bargain; at $48, even the expensive ones seemed to self-destruct for about 40% of the folks that bought them. How much worse can the $18 one be????

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

I'm surprised we haven't seen a Starfire yet.

Some of these lights should be called Misfires, or maybe ShortFires

Very interesting price, it is almost the size and price of a 502B/504B, I will give it a try and buy some, even if it's called RainyFire Wink

The "real" UF980 weighs 48grams more (if we can believe the weights given by DX for this one and manafont for the UF980)...

On a total weights of 131 for this light that's quite a substatial difference no?

So I just checked the status of my order for the Prairie Fire TB-D7 (UF-980 clone).  I placed the order on 12/19 and -- nothing.  DX is "Waiting for Supplier."  Bummer.  Has anyone else gotten theirs yet?
