Crapmaster 3000

thx again to Muto for my new favorite word……Crapmaster 3000.

since I cant stop laughing, or saying it, I thought this might make a good/funny thread.

What light was your must have (or impulse buy) that turned out to be a Crapmaster 3000 and why?

My vote goes to my old marine corps issued “moon beam”. it was issued, but I feel like I paid for it. what a piece of junk.

no output, clunky, corroded constantly, heavy, colored lenses got lost or cracked, had to buy my own batteries cause the marines didn’t have any.

I’ll put up my Uber Duber Commando 9000 against a Crapmaster 3000 anyday. I know mine’s shi**tier.

Many may disagree, but I’ll list all the Mag Lites I’ve ever bought here. They’re either unregulated or only dim in visible PWM, no tint option unless you mod them, beam profile is complete garbage, and for those outside the US, they’re extremely overpriced, as one might expect from a brand selling obsolete rubbish and living off its brand name alone. I went on a shopping spree for 3D, 2D, two 2xAA and one 2xAAA, and I’ve regretted every single one of those purchases.

Glad to make you smile
I’m here all week, try the veal.

For me in my collection of over 200 (stopped counting for mental protection) the choice was not even close,
The Fasttech TanLu TL-20G reviewed here is by far the worst POS I have ever owned of even seen.

Keep the crap coming we can make a monster thread if most of our members didn’t already throw out their worst Crapmaster 3000’s

Later,
Keith

Nice
Like this pic better, shows the whole fixture;

Good thing I didn’t try to copyright my name as someone is using it in production!

Nitecore EA4W. Where do I even begin? It started with the well documented switch boot problem and ended with Nitecore’s atrocious customer service. Three figure light collection, but that was my first and last Nitecore product- no lights, cells, or chargers… nada- and there never will be. A true Crapmaster 3000 if ever there was one. Worse even than my Cometa.

That, plus the atrocious parasitic drain of most of their products, is why I don’t have a Nitecore, and don’t intend to own one.

One Nitecore was enough for me, light as well as charger. Sold the charger through a third party, getting rid of the light has been more difficult. Even giving it away, has meant needing to exchange for a different light. Both functioned as they should, must be my luck with the brand.
YMMV…
