Hi I’m new here just a lurker until I had to register because of this problem. I am unable to use turbo mode or momentary mode. When I double click the light simply flashes once and then I am unable to turn it back on by pressing the button in anyway, the only way I can get it to turn back on is by unscrewing either the top or bottom. When I try to enable momentary mode by clicking 5 times it blinks twice then thrice and then nothing, after this if i press the button it will flash one last time then it goes into some kind of lockdown mode where only unscrewing the top or bottom will make it work again. So far these two are the only problems I have come across. I have tried resetting to factory (which I hope I did correctly, 3 clicks, 2 clicks, 2 clicks and then press and hold for 2 seconds until it blinks about 5 times.) but no luck with it.
My noob guess is because maybe I’m not using a high drain cell that is why turbo is not possible. unfortunately the only good 18650 I have is a protected one. In the end it’s not a huge problem anyway I just have to remember to avoid double or quintuple clicking the button but it would be really nice if any of you can confirm my suspicion about the battery being the problem or if any of you can offer a fix or work around. I know the light is very programmable but at the moment I just won’t be able to explore the ability to customize the light all by myself. Thanks in advance.
