I would like to have a combo white and red headlight for hunting and camping. Red light needs to turn down low enough for walking to deer stand with just enough light cast to be able to walk confidently but not be to bright. I also like to turn on low in stand to get things in order before sunup and after sundown without spooking game that might be nearby. White light would be used when retaining night vision is not important like cooking supper or chores around camp. Prefer it to operate on 18650 and be less than say$50.00
I can recommend the Princeton Tex ’REMIX” headlamp. It uses 3 AAA and not the requested 18650, but it has a hi and low power for both a red and white light. Mine is used for hunting too. I have had it 8 to 10 years and has been a rock solid little headlamp. If they don’t make the REMIX any more I’d still recommend something similar in the current Princeton line.

+1 Somewhere I have a EOS tactical. Starts in low. Has a red lens that can be pulled over the led. I can’t find it and have been looking for a few days. I may have gave it away. Now I miss it.

I DC-fixed the main LED and I love the beam. The run time is great. However there is only 1 RED level and it is on the bright side for what it is.

I have an old PT EOS Tactical as well! It was an impressive light in its time. I still love the low mode first as well as the flip up lens cover. Never was a fan of the flimsy hinge, though its lasted this long (and it used to be my go-to headlamp). That said, check out their Fred. Its lighter, starts in red low, red high, white low, white high order.
Well I purchased a Nightcore NU 10 and another light from gearbest on sale and was really looking forward to trying it out! I’ve been waiting since December for them to ship them to me and they have now cancelled the sale and refunded my money? Don’t know what that’s all about I have had 2 separate orders since then that have gone through just fine. So now I’m back wondering what to buy and looking for a sale. I was kind of looking forward to a lightweight rechargeable light.
I see that Nitecore HC 50 is on sale for 30$ that looks interesting and I really like the brand.
