Are these batteries protected?

Do either of the battery sets in these images looks like they are protected cells? They have the little bump where the circuit board would be, but the info doesn't say they are protected.

For your future reference, If in doubt look at the negative terminal of the battery. The protection circuit is always at the negative end and, if protected, you should see a lip similar to the one at the positive end.
