Simon, is it possible to make turbo mode access only after 2 click, from any position(on or off) without memorizing it? So it could be 0,1% – 1% – 10% – 40% and turbo after 2 click

yes ,and what driver model?

It could be in driver for SST40 and new 3*SST20

If turbo is only 1-2 min I can’t see point of memorizing it, and it would give more modes, 4 in loop and turbo when needed. Then it could be really “turbo”, not the highest mode

I definitely want it for S2+ with SST40 (and all other models too:)
Is there any estimates when it will be available?

Simon, could you please tell if there are any plans for it? I mean turbo access by two clicks (from “turned off” state as well).
I want S21A with sst40 and this feature, if possible.

As far as I understand, 2 clicks from off state is only possible with e-switch. But from on, instead of strobe it is possible. More low modes in EDC light is always nice Smile

I like the design of the S12, but I still feel a little burned by the battery size issues of the S21a.

The M4U – Yeah – a nice tube style 26650 light. Smile
What driver is in it?
Can it be flashed to something more interesting? (Anduril – I fear I’m becoming a UI snob)

I’m OK with even “click+halfclick” sequence, it should be possible with any switch.
However for stress situations, second full click might be better.

I see the H1 is (back?) on the Ali store. Different knurling. I’m guessing with the updated UI that’s been talked about?

I can see in the page description that it's running Biscotti.

Also in one of the pictures you can notice the cut-out in the driver and a mechanical switch going flush with the cut-out.

The bigger issue – I forgot that this has onboard USB charging. The spacing relative to the first cooling fin makes me think it’s built into the driver. Between the two, I doubt any other driver would fit or work. :-/

The M21B host link should be up soon as well. All it took was four sentences on my part and I didn’t even tell him I’m a member here.

Amazing customer service. Hopefully these sell well enough to make this worth his effort.

My concern is the cost of the host – the host + driver is already more expensive than the full light, so I guess that’s the point? Maybe I’ve got the sales pitch around the wrong way.

I have done such a driver sample before, I am not sure if there are many people who need it, so I did not mass produce it. (and turbo only from “on” state)

Nice find. Nichia 219C 4000K seems to have a nice rosy tint in that video.

Can depend on the camera, they have big problems showing the right tint. In real life it can be green.

Yep, I’m done with SST20 4000K unless they’re FA3 binned.

Simon or anyone else… is there a solder point on the new 6A CC drivers that would allow for disabling mode memory? Ordered an M21B and didn’t realize the new driver has mode memory (not a dealbreaker just prefer to not have it).

I was planning on getting one M21B myself and I do recall on the M21B item description page in one of the pictures where the driver was visible there was one star, so maybe that one star is for enable/disable memory? I hope so, as usually I keep my tail clickies with memory disabled, so +1 to this question.

Simon believes we all love memory and can’t live without it. I usually don’t use it either, so I don’t want any of Simon’s new drivers. The collaboration with Toykeeper on the Biscotti drivers was a huge step forward with configurable modes and toggling mode memory on/off, all the newer convoy drivers are a huge step back software wise.

S12 Nichia 219C 4000K 2nd mode. Yellow beam, like SST20 on this picture above. WB set to sunlight

Lumintop IYP07, S12, both Nichia 4000K. IYP07 is more yellowish, S12 little rosy when compared.

I hope it answers some questions Wink
