EBL 10440 Protected?

Hi,

I bought some EBL 10440’s on eBay.
The description says “Precise digital protection circuit built-in.”

I put on in my Singfire 348 and let it run until the led went out.
Checking the voltage after draining shows .884 volts.

Are these protected? Isn’t that a low voltage to drain a cell to?

I don’t believe the red and white EBL’s are protected. I imagine the seller of the cells made a mistake in the description. Yes that is a super low voltage to run a LiIon down to. They would be disposed of properly if they were mine.

Thanks.
“Disposed of properly” Argh.
I bough a 16 pack, guess I can use them as single use cells.

Huh, don’t you have a charger for these?

10440s are rechargeable lithium-ion cells.

Next time, just check if the light is getting too dim. You’ll know when it is time to recharge.

Yes I have a charger.
These batteries are for kids and friends who have 348 lights that I gave them.
Complicated instructions for battery use are a drag.

Just out of curiosity, what did you think about their performance other than the lack of protection circuit?
