Debug my Mtn 17mm FET+7135 problem

I just got a 17mm in from Mountain Electronics with Bistro firmware.

It was working, however something has gone wrong. I have 6 modes which the first 3 don’t seem to change in power (like 20%,20%,20%,40%,60%,100%). No moon.

I can back into the special modes: turbo works, strobe works, but batt check is just a dim ‘on’, and bike flash works.

15 clicks to config doesn’t work.

What component is causing this? Can I salvage this?

Sounds like the 7135 chip on the driver is not working.

It definitely sounds like the 7135. You could try touching up the solder joints in case they’re broken, but if that doesn’t work it will need replacing.

this is a result of one dead AMC7135 that keeps on all the time
only way to remove all at once and replace or try and error finding the dead one

Maybe I am wrong, maybe I don’t understand what you saying.

OP has a FET+1 driver. Wouldn’t there only be 1 7135?

if had almost the same problem. I shorted mine when i put the reflector against the positive wire which had to much solder on it and was sticking out to much. Was a good learning experience tho Cash
