How the NW tint? Hows does it compare to other tints from Cree? Or even the SST20?

My SST40 NW would compare to a Cree 3A tint

I seem to remember someone here using tools to smooth out the base of the light where the MCPCB sits, theirs was pretty rough – does anyone else remember if it was in here and if so who it was?

I was looking at that and post 1991 on the same page – but I think it was someone saying they had specific tools for it, not just sandpaper… knowing my memory, it was somewhere completely different :/

Look what i received today, spareparts from Mateminco!

Some wires need resoldering, but that will be the least of my problem.

sorry for a stupid question — but how did you order these?  Did they have switch covers?

Sorry if this was covered earlier, but is any kind of adapter required to use this light with a 26650 cell?

What’s the max current draw from the cell?

NO adapter needed. Light is designed for 26650.

I am not positive but I recall Shockli/Orbtronic 26650 cell will get about 9.5/10A max.

Do not remember if Golisi gets more.

Any idea how long it’s supposed to stay at that level before it steps down due to thermal limit?

I don’t know.

I can run it on Turbo for 20 minutes and do not notice any drop in output. I am sure it is there, not noticeable by my eyes.

Thanks.

I am so torn about this FT03. It sounds great on paper, but on the other hand, I already have Convoy C8 with XPL-HI (73k cd). Is this FT03 going to be a huge improvement in real life? I mean, realistically, I can’t see much past 300 meters or so anyway. Do people mainly buy this light for show? Or does it actually offer some tangible benefits over a typical C8 light? Yeah, yeah, where is my BLF spirit, right?

I need another flashlight like I need a bullet in my head.
