The 21700 *protected* light/cell thread

With the long feared practice of parents teaching their kids to handle unprotected cells and the wholesale switch to the much more powerful 21700 format it is past time to list where properly protected lights and cells can be found. *Please do not pollute this thread with unprotected cell opinions. There are those willing to pay up for engineered products safer for everyone as the 18650 protected cell light market has already proven.
Given that the budget market refuses to (currently) produce lights which one can proudly display to a child, here are our choices until extremely simple (universal) battery fitment engineering ‘catches hold’ with budget manufacturers not necessarily known for their…well…we’ll just leave it at that:

I won’t pollute this thread with my opinion which is strong and surely different from yours but instead contribute a cell.
Not protected 21700, I’m not aware of any that would be 70 mm long but 21750: Manker U22 comes with one.

I may not be understanding (please forgive) yet I believe that the above is a 21700 light in its current form. As far as the batteries, I’m assuming that you are of the opinion that they are ‘unprotected’. Bundle: Manker U22 + 4800mAh 21700 Rechargeable Battery - Mankerlight Official
I will try and maintain the list in the first/second post and thanks for contributing (added to the list).

No. I don’t have any opinion on Manker batteries. I know as a fact that they are protected 21750. Therefore they seem relevant to your thread.
The opinion part is on the use of protected cells in general and in line with your request I won’t elaborate on that.

The 21700 flashlight format is still considered ” secondary ” compared to 18650, 26650, 14500. Even though flashlight companies branch out with release of 21700.

21700 cells are nice but not all lights takes this cell. One reason why some lights include 18650 battery spacer.

The power 21700 out put is very good. But not as easy to get the 21700 you want.

I did review for Wuben A21. There is not even a section dedicated for 21700 batteries/flashlights here on forum. I had to post in 18650 section because the light did come with 18650 battery adapter.

I own another 21700 which will not be mentioned that performed well as well.

Keep the examples coming, folks.
Everybody knows that cells are interchangeable in but one category of battery fitment yet sales of protected cell capable lights must continue to cannibalize budget sales even more before this madness is ever stopped.
(Edit: As we all know from purchasing protected 18650 lights it is not ‘rocket science’ to engineer a reasonable battery fitment tolerance. Keep pressing those who do not possess this basic knowledge to learn from those who do through lost sales and unrelenting fitment tolerance questions as every new light is introduced).
