Wow. $7 is dirt cheap for an S2+ host.

Not a horrible light for that price. Bought 3 of these as gifts to coworkers at Christmas. The stepless version is 8.99 and actually works pretty well. I have 3 of those. Plan to modify them in the future.

Too bad the coupon doesn't work on the stepless version :-/

Fin17 should be able to help with that. I believe he was the one that got me a coupon code for the stepless version.

The low is about 18% rather than 5%, at least in mine. But if you don’t really need a low mode or changing modes too often I find it quite useable. The host walls are thinner than in a S2+, but larger batteries fit well as a byproduct. I wouldn’t expect it to survive falling from a skyscraper or being run over by a tank, but it should survive normal drops.

Great little lights for $7. I bought like eight of them a while back. Swapped the drivers in all of them to get rid of the blinky’s in the mode sequence. The XP-L V6 with the OP reflector didn’t really need replacing. Gave half of them away and put the rest away in my camping equipment. Worth every penny.

Hummm….I have extra biscotti flashed drivers lying around. Maybe time to use them

Perfect. I got one with a biscotti driver in it, darn nice to have. They bake to a nice brown color too if you are sick of black.
