After a recent storm I took all my batteries out and charged and topped off my spares I am looking for a better storage system besides the small 2 cell cases you see around
Looks like you are ready for Armageddon.
Use the search function at the top of the page , Storage
There are a lot of threads here regarding storage.
I use the Plano Shot shell Box however the box I bought is too shallow to fit protected button top 18650 cells.
For AA ’s and AAA’s I use the MTM ammo boxes. Right now I don’t have the model numbers I bought available.
That’s a nice looking battery collection. Excellent presentation.
Mmmm, toasted batteries…
I use these for 18650s and 26650s (spacing the dividers to fit one cell in each compartment): https://www.harborfreight.com/18-divider-storage-container-94456.html
I am also using the bigger sizes of those containers for AAs and AAAs,placing multiple cells in a compartment.
MTM Shotgun Shell Cases & Boxes
.
Get different gauges for different size batteries.
You can probably find a MTM Pistol or Rifle cartridge box to fit the 14500, AA, & AAA sizes. The 28 gauge shotgun size might work for AA’s.

.
They come in several different sizes, usually 50 or 100 individual ‘slots’; and several different colors.
Reminds me… I was gonna ask if anyone makes actual storage boxes (2-per or 4-per) for 21700s, and maybe 26650s, too.
Got plenty for 18650s/18350s and 14500s/AAs, but not the bigger donks.
Yeah Lightbringer… they make them both.
2 cells per case is what I have.
Whereabouts? Any time I get said cells in the mail, the cases are always at least cracked, ’though usually busted in pieces.
You must have a rough postman, I have never had one broken.
At different times, I’ve got em’ from Liion Wholesale, IMR Batteries, MTN Electronics, Light Junction, Illumn, Illumination Gear, & even a few from across the pond.
They are usually pretty cheap. A couple years ago they were on sale somewhere & I picked up a bunch for 26650 batteries.
Ah, ktnx!
I was looking for Soshine or Shoshine or whatever, as they usually have ’em on Amazon, and there, you’ll get a pair of gloves in an air-conditioner box stuffed with air-bags.
I know you guys always give great tips. Mine might not be great but it might help here.
I buy ear bud sets from Dollar Tree. Comes in clear plastic tube. Rubberized snap on cap sealing tube. Caribiner for attachment. Diameter very good for single 18650 or 2 CR123A with some wiggle room.
@ Lightbringer. Your welcome. And you are so right about Amazon packages!! It amazes me the size box (big) that they will ship the smallest item in.
.
@ mmalive…… Thanks for sharing another ‘Dollar Tree’ experience!! I have been needing a couple of tubes like that… now I know where I can get them.
