Fenix/Olight branded 18650 batteries

Generally - any compelling reason(s) to consider these branded batteries, button tops?

Tnks in advance to anyone who is kind enough to respond.

Known companies.
Good batteries from the four big companies (Panasonic (Sanyo) , Samsung, LG and Sony).
In smaller sizes (14ΧΧΧ - 16ΧΧΧ - 18350/500) I do not know ……

I normally don’t care for the price increase that comes along with those names on the side of it but, they are quality cells made by someone else and re-wrapped with their name on it. I know a few Olight cells have features on them to make them work with their magnetic charging. I am not certain as to whether that keeps them from being used in other lights. I don’t think that is the case but again, I am not sure.

These sites seem to be used the most for getting legit cells. Great customer support from all 4. I don’t make a habit of ordering cells from overseas. Too easy to get crap cells and then trying to work it out with someone who has trouble with the English language. Not to mention the hassle involved with getting a refund or replacement cells.

Todd’s the man that knows the ” real deal ” when it comes to legit batteries. Seems to know all great deals all the time on things. Problem is when I find out already ” too late ” . Ha Ha.

Serious note : Get quality cells from major manufacturers and companies that sell legitimate cells. See Todd’s mentions above. EXTREMELY dangerous and DEADLY if you get ” bootlegged ” cells.

I went through alot of research when looking at cells and I found one of the top batteries to be the NCR18650GA protected or not neither was great always get from liionwholesale, I actually have a thrunite battery that you can clearly see the Panasonic NCR18650B under thrunite’s wrap.

Thanks for the replies- nice to have access to a forum which is not in the pocket of a particular company.
