Too early. I would consider after reading some trustworthy review.

I'll probably receive it in 2-3 weeks. What questions do you want me to respond to? I can compare the control ring function to that of the Acebeam K40M.

Build quality, runtime with graphs to see how driver is doing etc.
I have k40m too, control ring is perfect in that light.

That be a real nice addition to this light if they offered a longer 18650 tube like Sunwayman did with the 14500 tube. Wink
Hint hint Jet-Beam.
I’ll subscribe M4dM4x, I might be in for another if the price is right.

Thanks, that was the main thing. Else it says USB cable included but the light has no port, but as I have read into it a bit in that loooong RRT01 thread it seems that a 16340 is included with USB charging built in.

yes

and fwiw, only Unprotected 18350 fit
and fwiw, the 750mAh Keepower 18350 does NOT work (unless you add a solder blob or magnet to the flat top)

and fwiw, the 1200mAh Keepower 18350 DOES work!

Interested. I love rotating ring variable brightness control. I just wish it had USB charging. Not a single magnetic ring brightness control with usb charge in existence.

true, but, the 16340 battery included in the new RRT-01 has USB charging built into the battery

the Olight Universal charger works well, for charging the 18350 battery I use in my RRT-01

it turns any light and any battery (both LiIon and Eneloop), into a USB light, or battery Wink
that means I can charge both my RRT-01 and my Maratac, with the Olight charger…

.

choices are good:

if the charger is in the light, it means I cant use the light, so I prefer an option that lets me keep using the light by just changing cells and charging outside the light

Hy cant you use it if usb was built in to the light? I feel with usb built in will make this a perfect light for muggles

you might be right about the muggles, if the light has the charger built in, they cant Lose the charger

what I meant was
while the light is plugged into USB, I cannot put it in my pocket and take it with me

make sense?

I prefer not to tie up the light, to make it do the job of a charger, but that probably is not how a muggle thinks

in any case, the RRT-01 does not have USB in the light, but for a muggle, it does have USB in the battery..

muggle wins,
I win,
Jetbeam wins (no extra USB waterproofing to add to the light itself) Wink

so this doesn’t have a tail switch like the V11R? You have to mess with the ring every time you want to turn it on?

If you dont ise the usb charge feature, it is basically a regular light. Just replace batteries when you need to. Simple as that. Dont see how the usb cable can hold anybody back.

Yelp, turn the control ring to the right about 1/32 of a turn and it comes on in moonlight, the more you turn the brighter it gets.
The cool thing about the RRT01 is that with only one hand you can turn it off and on and adjust brightness without every having to flip it around to hit the switch like the V11R. Hold the light in the normal down range position and its controlled completely at your finger tips.

Correct. Just the control ring. It’s faster than the button+ring combo of the V11R and doesn’t require you to change your handhold.
