Like the tail trit slots on the new one

It’s just a disastrous shame they didn’t make them 2 mm x 12 mm. They’re slightly smaller than that, so it’s hard to find trits that fit. FAIL

Over on CPF, one guy posted about using a Dremel and boring out the slot ends just a little to make 12mm work. So I’m assuming the thickness is OK.

I put up some pics of the trit slots ground out to fit the 2×12mm trit vials a few weeks ago. http://budgetlightforum.com/comment/1467214#comment-1467214
It’s either grind the slots to fit 2×12mm or use smaller trit vial. I never had any luck finding 2×10mm even though they do exist.

Good to know that, thanks. There are 1.2 mm x 5 mm tritium vials available. So you could stack 2 of them in a slot… but will look a bit thin.

JB never mentioned the slots are for trits. Could be just coincidental ornaments

BTW Martin, sent you PM regarding my order which is on hold. BG couldn’t ship it to my address (after 2 weeks processing time waits) and asked me for extra shipping cost without telling me how much the extra would be. Just asked me a yes or no confirmation

Mine arrived this morning. I found it stuffed into an old walking boot outside my front door, no note left, and it would have gone through the letterbox. Very odd. It took 10 days to reach me.

Anyway, it looks much nicer than I thought, very bright, lovely rotary switch, beam has a ring but fine. Beautifully made. It’s on a par with my Sunwayman lights.

definite fail, forces Vinh to the use of a pair of 1.2 × 5mm to fill the slot, and atm mixglo only has green

It is disappointing that they almost got it the right size, but not.

jon_slider, can you please post a picture where we can see how the trits glow? I want to see if it looks good with the gap in the middle.

Maybe a bad situation can be turned around with the combination of two colors in one slot.

I didn’t even realise it had circus modes. It’s nice that they are hidden but easily accessible.I don’t know the strobe frequency but it looks fast, for what that’s worth.

yes, the new version RRT-01 has strobe, the Original version RRT-01 does not

one thing I like about the rotary blinkies is that they are dimmable
