Humvee combo knife/flashlight, surprising quality for $10

I posted in another thread that I had purchased 3 of the Humvee combo packs on sale for $10

http://budgetlightforum.com/node/6332

I gifted them to my kids and my dad as emergency glass-breaker/seatbelt cutters.

I was playing them Christmas day after they had been opened, and I have to say this combo was the best value of any Christmas gift I've seen this season.\

The knives are on a par with the best Chinese knives, and they are SHARP, really sharp, right out of the box.

Don't know if the sale is still on, they say they are normally priced at $54. Too high, but I can see them getting $29 for the set. At $10 its a steal. The light is so-so, but the knife is awesome!

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Hehe. I thought you had found a 2-in-1 torch/knife combo.

The knife looks nice.

I wish! But the knife is one of the best I've ever seen in that price range.

I just went into a local Big 5 on my lunch break and they still had about 10 sets left at the $10 price.

They also had a couple sets of medium/small Humvee pocket knives with liner lock. I bought one of those hoping the blade was as sharp and the quality as good as the combo knife/flashlight kit. $6.97 for two decent looking knives, not bad at all if they are as good as the one I already have.

Cheap plastic scales, but they have strong liner-locks, the blades are fairly sharp, and the fit is fine. Very light knives, and for $3+ each, I can't complain.

Oh yes, and you cannot thumb-flip them open; well, the bigger one you can with some effort, but not the smaller one. Blade is too tight in the handle.
