Miboxer C4-12 or something else?

After consulting HKJ’s reviews, & doing a little forum research, I’m looking at getting the Miboxer C4-12.

There were a few reports of slot#3 going bad, but no follow-up posts for any type of resolution by User’s or the manufacturer.

Who here has been using the Miboxer C4-12 for a decent amount of time?

I was also looking at the Folomov A4, but there’s less information available on that one.

Any others I should be looking at, mainly for fast-charging 4*Li-Ion high-discharge cells?

Not looking at forking out the $$ for a SkyRC

Cheers

The C4 Plus has been redesigned to accept protected 21700 cells and can charge 2 cells at 2.5A, 3 cells at 2A and 4 cells at 1.5A

The C4-12, for the months I’ve owed it, has been working absolutely perfectly.

It has a good internal resistance checker compare to most chargers, a very wide range of charge current, from 0,1A-3,0A for Li-ion, and 0,1A-1,0A for NiMH cells.

For large 26650s/20700/21700s, being able to charge at 2,5-3,0A is very nice.

I use the C4-12 as my default charger. I’ve accidentally allowed the spring loaded negative to slam home on a few occasions and the spring broke inside… relatively simple to fix. Like any charger, keeping the contacts clean keeps it accurate and likewise cleaning the ends of the cell works wonders.

I’ve been contemplating getting another one for those times that 4 bays simply isn’t enough.

Thanks - looks like the C4-12 is the ticket then.

:+1:

I’ve had the C8 for the past 2 months and I really like it. No broken springs (fingers crossed) and it seems to charge just about everything we put in it safely and quickly.

$30 great deal until 5. March. Banggood Miboxer C4-12 Promotion Sale

Will this take the massive Rofis 21700 protected cell?

75mm long, the older version HKJ tested wont fit them.

Nah. Only fits 73mm long cells.

Thanks for your support of Miboxer, anyone from BLF forum need to purchase Miboxer chargers, just send me an email. We'll send extra coupon code for you, this is long term effective

I have two… Love em

I have the C4-Plus. I mainly wanted capability for a 21700 cell, and the C4-Plus was less money. The C4-12 provides more charge current, but my experience with most of my cells is that the internal resistance kind of mutes the benefit and I find 1 amp adequate. Also I didn’t care to have the USB power bank feature from a cell in bay 4. Not sure if the C4-12 can be powered by both AC and 12vdc, but the C4-Plus can.

C4-12 $45.99
C4-Plus $26.99

Those are pretty much the only differences that I know and the price is accordingly.

Someone already mentioned the new updated Miboxer C4-12 that has 2 buttons and now also supports LiFePO4 & LiHV batteries. I wonder if it’s already available for sale and where…

Miboxer did not want to repair my slot 3 affected C4-12 with the excuse they do not have authorized reps in AliExpress (and I bought it from similar link just because this was my only option). Just my 2c on their customer service and distribution activities.

And what you wanted, you saw how much the price for Aliexpress is cheaper than on the same Amazon. Warranty is not meant there.

More modest needs - just ordered a C2-6000. I had done some searching and the C4-12 is a complete beast. Very good price to charging options. What threw me off no 4 slot, at a glance, charge status (which cell/s is full). It seems you must cycle each bay. Also, the feature of time remaining till full seems to have been removed - there is no mention in any of the sites / comments. It shows on start-up (bottom left above “time”). Would have been a nice feature.

Had an Adeaska SQ2 which has a nice display but not %, IR, and modest 0.5 / 1.0 amp. µUSB broke but I was able to re-solder and reinforced with epoxy. The unit was erroneous since the start: with one cell 1/2 & 1 amp setting ok, w/ 2 cells this was inverted, i.e. 1/2 setting gave 1 amp and the 1 amp gave 1/2. The values were max though as the charge would change. Not really CC. Something awry with the electronics. Did the job for awhile - time to upgrade!
