Thanks for the beamshots, this light is going to be great. How scratched are the non ano going to be? I was not planning on polishing mine, just letting it stay natural.

The light will be sold in their Aliexpress shop. Do not think that they will sell it on BG,GB. . .

I can not tell for sure. But if i check the pics i uploaded a few minutes ago i would say not to much.
But Jacky wanted to tell me that if we make a new light in the future and we again want no ano light, that they will be able to handle them with more care so the surface will be even better. But no ano aluminium is much more soft. So they are much more prone to scratches.

Docc, this light looks like it is going to be so good that I will probably have to get two.

Does their shop take PayPal?

Other than the styling and SST-40 emitter, what are the main reasons to get this over the ubiquitous C8? I’ve only been semi following this so forgive me if it’s been answered already.

I know that i payed Jacky in the past via PP. But i will ask if they will accept PP to give you a 100% answere.
Next weekend we wanted to talk about the BLF price. Or better how we will do it. So only BLF/TLF member get the lower price.
A good time to talk also about payment options. . . When i know more i will let you know.

Hodor, check out the beamshots, it is a much different beam, exceptionally nice. I think it will be smaller as well, at least my old one is.

The styling for me is the biggest reason to want the D80 over the C8,

From the moment I saw my first (Ultrafire) C8 in 2012 or so, I hated the styling and for 5 years I even refused to buy one. The C8 design in the meantime was copied multiple times by other companies, even Convoy and Astrolux, it seems that a flashlight in that size is not allowed to have a different styling. Luckily Convoy finally has a new styling now, even though it still is not my COT.

But for the rest of the world that seems not to mind the ugly and eternal C8 styling, the D80 is considerably more compact than a C8, almost even pocketable, but therefore the reflector is smaller as well, it will throw a bit less. And the D80 has a peculiar feature: even people who are not font of the looks can not deny that the feel in your hands is exceptionally good.

BTW, a liger is born of a female tiger and male lion.

A tigon is born of a female lion and male tiger.

Interestingly, ligers typically grow larger than tigers and lions.

Hercules the liger is the world’s largest cat, and weighs over 900 pounds!

Nice work TheOnlyDocc! This is looking fantastic. Looks like a very worthy successor to the original BLF D80.

I kinda like the name LuckySun more than WildTrail, but I also don't really care just as long as the flashlight is any good, and this one does look very promising!  :THUMBS-UP:

I like the name WildTrail. I’m fine with that name being on the light. I’m glad this light is almost finished! I never liked the styling of the D80 the last time, so I never bought one. But, it’s definitely a better style than the C8, which is very ugly to me. This time around, I plan on getting the D80, if funds allow.

I have a D80, and it fits in my hand nicely.

(It also fits in my shorts pocket well.)

I think you'll like the styling when you have one in your hand.  ;)

Yep. I definitely prefer it to the C8, and it is even slightly smaller than the EE X6 size.

Only the no ano is limited and the list is already closed. They told me that they wil keep a few extra without ano but i do not think that they have left to many without ano. The mat black version will be sold for everybody in their Aliexpress store.
In the next few days we will discuss how the ordering prozess workes. Because BLF/TLF member are getting the light a bit cheaper.
I will update here when i know more about it.

Looks very interesting.

I hope I’m not persuaded to buy one. My wallet is already in agony from the last couple months.
