I am back and if any questions come up you can ask Lux-Perpetua or me. Jacky talked to AE about the buggy payment system. They want to look into it. But i do not know if it will help.
And thanks again for all the good wishes for my mom. She got the operation done but is still lying on the ICU.
Now we have to wait for her readings to stabilize.

When I look at the tracking link on AliExpress, it says mine has left the country of origin, but when I look up the tracking number on 17track and USPS, they both say the label is created, but the carrier hasn’t added it to their system. I guess I’ll find out in a month or two whether I have a D80v2 or not,. Silly

Something to check... for anyone who ordered (at regular price due to confusing web site) but canceled, review your fund balance. It looks like I cancelled properly and no shipment was made but the $37.+ is charged at the moment. I trust it will be resolved but will send an inquiry to Aliexpress. Second attempt went fine.

Ok, let's continue with great anticipation for the impending arrivals!

Good to hear everything went smooth now. On the weekend i will get the No Ano list from JAcky with all the ones that are left over. I will then contact the few ones and ask if they still want to order or if they want to give up their spot. When i get the answeres in a few days later i will stat contacting the ones on the inofficial list.
And we will talk about possible future project. When i have a few more infos i will let you guys know.
One possibility is a new led. Have you heard about a SST-70 Cool ?

What about a new design of the triple they have F3X? Direct drive it with triple SST40 should be able to get 5500 lumens fairly easy with a good cell? Just need to make it beefier so it can handle heat properly.

djozz has a review on the original.

You are a BAD man! Wink

I’m glad to hear the surgery is over, and I’m wishing the best for your mom to get out of the ICU and recover quickly. Keep us posted as you can.

I haven’t heard of a SST-70. Are you saying you work for Luminus now, in new product development? Shocked

Not working for Luminus now. But it has his perkes to work with a Flashlight company that is not only making lights for themself. So they hear about things.
And sometimes also get things Big Smile .

At the moment i try to get one in Jos hands. But i it will take some days to get a answere. If they are ok with it we will send one or two to Jos for destructive testing Big Smile
The only thing i know so far is, that it is using 6V and ~6A. If you check the picture you see it is a 4 die emitter like the XHP-50. . .
I also try to get a datasheet. But I do not think i will get any answere before next week.

I hope that they also release a 3V version. But the only thing i know so far is the 6V 6A version. I could not even get the info what ledboard they used (5050. . . ?)
Lets hope that they give us another 1-2 leds for testing and also a datasheet. At the moment there is nothing i can find regarding the SST-70.
Seems to be to new. So i have to wait for their answere. But the very small space between the dies gives me hope for a not to distinct donut hole.

It says CREE on the generic China Mcpcb’s so I’m assuming it’s a 5050 with standard pads

For all people that wanted a No Ano light but did not make the list in time. I contacted the few people on the list that did not buy their light.
I will wait a few days for the answeres. Then i know how many lights i can offer to you. So if you still interested please wait a few more days.

Don’t want to get your delivery hopes up but mine have arrived! Had to put a battery in one and power it up, it’s lush!
Will have proper play later when it’s dark.

First impressions though, TheOnlyDocc, Jacky, and all involved have done an excellent job. Thank you Smile
