Difference between CREE XP-E R2 and R3? (In my Fenix E21)

I was just registering my Fenix lights, both are model E21. On the serial number page it gives me this info, so I see both lights are slightly different.

What is the difference? (if it makes any difference I received the R3 from China and the R2 from the offical Fenix website...both ordered one week apart a few months ago.) Is the R2 old-stock?

The R3 will a make a minimum Lumens(@350mA) of 122 and the R2 will make 114.

There is not that much of a difference.

Thanks...is there supposed to be a difference in color (warm/cold) or beam pattern?...I turned them both on and the R2 looks like a white dot, while the R3 is warmer and has a wider hotspot...

Exactly the opposite of mine ..The r2 is warmer and more floody /less rings

the r3 is greener more of a hotspot ringy and not as nice

My guess is these are the same ..just a tint lottery
