CONVOY MK.... Best budget EDC ever IMHO

Nice EDC for the every-man.

PROs:

Small
IPX 8
Good glass
A few stages
USB recharge !!!!
Bright (nearly 600L)
I assume regulated
Low cost….I bet if it said “FENIX” it would cost 50 bucks
REALLY great gift for everyone. **more on bottom
18650 battery size. Good run times
Made well,it seems
Might be the best small budget 18650 you can get.

Will use a while and update when I can.
If it lasts, this light is amazing for what it costs.

**For B-days,Xmas and various other gift occasions we give (usually) silly and useless stuff.
For the non wierdos like us here, this light seems like magic.
For home,SHTF or car…this is a MUST have.(for the average person)
So damn usefull.Really
It is rare a gift is super cool AND usefull.

I am impressed with BLF Neal
Countless friends and I got lights / batts from his store.
Really a SUPER nice, friendly and helpfull guy. Honest !!!
His store is here, I am sure most know this https://www.nealsgadgets.com/

TY NEAL !!!

I’m struggling to wrap my head around all of the Convoy offerings. Forgive my ignorance but where would I find the Convoy MK? After looking on their Aliexpress page I’m not able to track down what you’re referencing. All of their stuff looks really interesting and I’m hoping to place an order soon.

It’s actually the S9. The Convoy brand sometimes includes the MK for some reason.

Be sure to get the 2.5A S9, as more current means brighter than the older 1.4A version. It’s listed in the aliexpress s9 page as an option.

1.4A is perfect, but the 2,5A is probably going to be like a Convoy S2+ on slightly lower power: hot, but not death hot.

as always, the week after I buy something….
I did these for a project, and $3-$4 a light would help.
But these are nice little lights… Cheap enough that if it has a problem, you get another

How does it compare to the Astrolux S1? Besides having usb charging where the s1 does not.

I like the lower amp version. It can drive some specific leds like colour leds and I also used it for a quad Optisolis.

I would like an upgrade of the S9 though, with USB-C charging port and perhaps a (amber?) locator led in the switch when the light is off.

Is this light really 120 grams without battery?

This seems way too much.
