It disappeared on me for a minute there. Here it is:

20,000 5G satellites and over a million 5G towers on the way covering every square inch of the earth in deadly radiation...

Then there is borophene’s ability to catalyze the breakdown of molecular hydrogen into hydrogen ions, and water into hydrogen and oxygen ions. “Outstanding catalytic performances of borophene have been found in hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, and CO2 electroreduction reaction,” say the team. That could usher in a new era of water-based energy cycles.

Oh that would be amazing.

Plating borophene with platinum would make it super good, and electrolysis production of hydrogen with much higher efficiency would be absolutely dope.

I am far from thrilled, not at all in fact. That is just another dose of babble natter babbler chatter for no real good except making noise to direct interest or funding into another @#$%.

Anyone can have an idea but bringing it to life still finds many hurdles because of intellectual property quarreling and related @#$%, sorry.

The thing about borophene that is nice though is that borophene electrolysis electrodes already exist.

This isn’t the 1st I’ve heard about borophene, as last year actually at my university, we actually got prototype platinum coated borophone, which is quite a bit more expensive than platinum coated titanium electrodes, but less expensive than pure platinum electrodes.

I don’t know what the chemistry lab is up to with these today, but I would love to know.
I don’t have much time these days however, as I have a lot of exams.

And the material’s reactivity means it is vulnerable to oxidation, so it needs to be carefully protected. Both factors make borophene expensive to make and hard to handle. So there is work ahead. Steve

MIT is often announcing the Next Big Thing, but most of them come to nothing a few years later.

Hi CREEXHP70LED,

A response in this thread because it is one that you started so I think you will read it. I could send you a PM but I’m also interested if it is just me.

I’m not particularly delighted by pictures or sigline quotes concerning guns and gun ownership, not my cup of tea although I know that there are many people on BLF who are into that stuff so it is all good with me. But having a gun pointed at me via your avatar I think I did not deserve (it is not funny to me, sorry about that). I’m not sure if it is just me but would you mind changing that?

I’m not at all trying to provoke a discussion about the subject, and it would be against the BLF rules too, it is just about the avatar.

Cheers, Jos

No gun pointing at you now. Didn’t mean to offend anyone.
