I had never heard of Mercari.com until about a week ago.
I was looking for a deal on a portable hard drive on Google Shopping, which is how I sometimes find little known websites.
I found what looked like a good deal on Mercari.com
It seems similar to eBay, though I don't know if you can bid on anything.
The item I wanted was a Buy It Now sort of listing.
The seller had good feedback, though not a lot of feedback, so I bought the hard drive and paid with PayPal.
I received the item, and it seems fine.
...
Then I got an email from Mercari.
Here's the relevant part:
I don't like this system because I don't like being pressured into giving feedback, especially within 3 days!
I like eBay's system because you don't have to give feedback for the seller to be paid.
So, other than being forced into giving feedback so quickly, my experience was good so far.
I just wanted everyone to know what they're getting into if they buy or sell something on Mercari.
By the way, they do have over 1,000 flashlights for sale, but I don't know if there are any good deals.
I'll probably only check out the site when I find a link to it on Google Shopping.
