Driver Suggestions

Hey Guys!

I’m finally going to be modding a flashlight that I have left on the shelf for quite some time now. All I need from you guys are some driver suggestions to run a Cree XM-L2 off of a 26650 battery. I’ve been looking around MountainElectronics for a 24mm driver, but I haven’t found a single one.

Could you guys link me to a website that could be carrying 24mm drivers?

Thanks.

If you’re okay with a 20mm or 22mm driver, you can get a Cu washer that’s 24mm in diameter, and use a step-bit to drill out, say, if it’s in 1mm steps, a 19mm hole and only go partway through with the 20mm step. Then solder the 20mm driver into the hole so that the spring is “up” when you drop it on the shelf.

I don’t have the time, nor the tools for that. That’s why I just want to buy a 24 mm driver. Thanks though, appreciate the help. Do you know of any website that carries drivers of this size?

Search for TA’s 24mm driver.

They’re bare boards, no components on the board. I want the full package so it is less of a hassle for me.

Lexel has a 24mm TA driver in his list, maybe he's got some left. If your host has a threaded retaining ring, you could probably just pop in a 22mm board and screw it down.
