Just thought I would introduce myself I have been lurking and finally thought I would register.
My Flashlight, or as we like to say here in the UK "Torch," addiction is not as advanced as many of yours but it is deep rooted.
I do not have the need for anything special the majority of the time so am happy with a few old faithfuls and a few cheapo LED jobs that I have picked up over the years, however time is telling on some of them so I am going to start replacing some of the over the next few months, just in case the Myans where right.
The first to replacements are going to be the Maglite Solitaire that lives on my keyring and the big old generic D Cell incandescent that lives under the stairs in case of power cuts etc. Budget is low but my requirements are too, so I will probably add some specific posts in the relevant sections when the time comes.
My weakness is cheap LED torches from eBay etc, I have had and given away far to many to remember but there are a few which have been real gems and have stayed in the house\car\bag for a while.

Key Chain light is first on the hit list I think, I need something the size of the Maglite and something that will go onto a split ring and is pretty robust. I am not so bothered about raw power, just reliability and robustness.
At the moment the Fenix E01 is in the lead.
The review here shows it will be a big upgrade from the Maglite
I'd say get the Tank007 E09. Fenix type quality at a bargain price. I love mine. Its the same size as the Fenix E01 but its a 3 mode light (H-M-L) so you pick the power you want to use. On Medium or High it totally blows the Fenix away and on low it will run for hours.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far I will take a look and see what comes out top. I will probably pick up a couple and then try them out to see which suits me best.
