Is there a noob guide with light code numbers (ie XR-E Q4 vs XP-E R3)

I was looking to buy a light, the bodies look the same to me but one is $5 more...the only difference is:

XR-E Q4
XP-E R3

How are you supposed to know all the time what these numbers mean - is there a guide someone can please link me to with a little write-up/description on each number keeping them all handy...?

Or some place I can bookmark? Many thanks.
