Multi-button Driver Recommendations?

So, new member here, been lurking on and off for a while. Joined so I could pick smarter brains than my own.

The Mrs surprised me with a First Light Torq earlier this year, and I’m loving the UI and the finger ring. But, I’ve been spoiled by 18650 lights putting out 700+ lumens. So I’m thinking it’s time to do some tinkering…

I fabbed my own single-AA P60 hosts a few years ago, and learned a lot. One thing I learned is that I’m a lot more comfortable with the mechanical bits than the electro-magical ones. Hence the P60 host last time.

For this project I’m wondering if there is a readily-available driver which would play nice with a single Li-Ion rechargeable and support multiple (say 2-3) electronic switches. Rough idea is to integrate the driver and switches in the tailcap/grip (1.) connected to the head/emitter (2.) by some sort of battery tube (3.) - details of each are still up in the air.

Plan B (or C) is to get an old beat-up Tomahawk and mod it.

Is there anything applicable available off the shelf? Or will this require a custom driver?

Thanks ahead of time for any ideas/advice/leads. And thanks for all the great info I’ve already gleaned from the forum!

Taskled DualFlex comes to mind. I don’t know if the UI is particularly weird. Also it’s 1” in diameter so not particularly small.

Many of the common ATtiny drivers, ones that have a spare MCU leg, could support dual E-switches if the firmware is modified accordingly.

Oh wow, thanks. The UI on that DualFlex is a bit dizzying, but it’s a great place to start.

Sounds like I’ll need to do some more HW on those ATtiny drivers.
