How many sunsets can I get from my FW3A with each full charge?

I’m loving my FW3A with 7A tint.

I’ve been using it exclusively in sunset mode and I’m wondering if anyone knows how many sunset mode sessions can I expect to get out of a fully charged 30Q. Thanks!

Well… Start clicking and let us know.

Can’t help but to think of…

I haven’t done a full sunset burn-down test with a FW3A, but when I first made the mode on my Brass Beauty, it lasted several months when used every night. I’m guessing FW3A should be similar.

To really estimate it well though, you’d need to instrument a FW3A with a logging DMM and measure power use for the entire hour until it shuts off… then divide the battery capacity by the area under the measured curve.

and don’t fall asleep doing that

Now, if you could set it to produce a “dawn” starting at a particular time —- you’d have reinvented the “dawn simulator” that’s so helpful with winter depression.

Lolololol... hahahahaha!

BTW, the reason why sunset is right after battcheck is so you can easily see when the bedside light needs to be recharged.

As for a sunrise mode, that’s more tricky. These chips aren’t good at measuring time on a scale of several hours. It’s like having a clock which gains or loses an hour every day, at random. So I wouldn’t recommend using one as an alarm clock.

How many moons could my moonlight light if my moonlight could light moons?

That’s good,
save that one or put it in your signature.

i would guess at least 1000

based in 10 mw for an hour, and 10 WH in a good battery
