LD-29 Questions

Can anyone clarify a couple points for me on the current LD-29 from Fasttech ?

From the photo’s I can’t see the sense resistor so I’m assuming it’s on the underside of the top board. This post seems to indicate that however it’s not very clear. Is it correct that the sense resistor is R020?

Also, is it possible to adjust the output level of low mode from 5% to 20%? I’ve seen the video going around about adjusting the LD-25 with a wire/pin trick – is something like that possible here? Or is it possible via changing another resistor or would this type of adjustment require firmware changes?

Yes.

Never heard of what you say about mode adjustment tricks. Firmware change I'd say.

Thank you for confirmation.

This trick is what I was referring to.

That is an LD-25 linear driver. The newer version can also be bought at FastTech: 3000mA 3-Mode LED Flashlight Driver Circuit Board (LD-25)

Correct, I was just wondering if it was the same manufacturer therefore possibly the same trick could be applied to Ld29.

Cannot say for sure, yet very likely it is from the same manufacturer (LDCH). However, as far as I know it does not support current output adjustments.
