Fw3a switch help

I just got this light
Love it
The switch is sooooo light
Does anyone have a fix to make the switch just a little bit stiffer (to avoid accidental activation)
Thanks in advance

I don't think there is an alternative to it!?!?

If you lock it (4 click’s when light is off) you get a momentary switch with the lowest level.

Electronic switches can be: one-tiny-touch => burning hole in the pants. Or in some parts.
After locking you get the lowest level, and only if you keep on pressing the switch.

I just bought a FW3A and should arrive tomorrow. I don’t get why a so light switch is “designed”, especially in a light that can cause fires, literally. Same goes for the Emisar D4.

Oh you can lockout, people say. But 4 clicking every time I need light is completely annoying.

One thing I know for sure is the FW3A will not be my EDC.

I saw a post around here that someone made new plastic pieces (nubbin) for the switch contact, making it a bit shorter to prevent so easy activation.

you can also set the ‘ceiling’ to ‘no burn’ level

though you can still activate ‘full burn mode’ with 2 presses, if it happens to be on already

A very slight twist of the head will lockout the switch and can be done one handed. Also some have replaced the switch with a real switch. Another method I’ve seen is making a foam washer that fits around the switch. This make it require more pressure and I would imagine a more centered press.

I am experimenting with the foam, but have not found the right thickness and density.

Oh, almost forgot. Another option used a properly sized washeradhered to the tail to recess the switch a little more. I will get the link to the washers and post it later.

Here is the washers that have been used. Pennzy adhered one using E6800 and said that it can be removed without damaging the ano if you happen to not like it. This makes the button deeper and also the opening is more narrow.
