Lii-500 / Zanflare / Opus

Classical question, been through some similar topic here, but still … (sorry):

for a 4 slot charger, that wouldnt burn anything down and does capacity test (discharge). Being a powerbank is plus. Price also.

Lii-500 - so far I have found out to be the cheapest option? around 15 - 20 dollars? For some reason I’ve had sort of negative feeling about brand Liitokala while looking for batteries. Im a bit afraid if 15 $ liitokala is safe charger to use? Is any aliexpress shop good to go? Banggood.com?

Opus - So far I have read out, it’s a bit better option than Lii-500, but it’s also much more expensive compared to Lii-500. Yes I know compared to top stuff its still cheap. So im thinking if it’s worth it, I just need to charge my batteries and test them after ordering if they what they said to be.

Zanflare - seemed to be a good option between Lii-500 and Opus, kinda middle way, but it seems to be discontinued on gearbest, where it was with a good price? There’s seems to be somesort of copy of Zanflare called Beamday C4 for 30 dollars. Any ideas on that ? https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_009916555865.html?wid=1433363#goodsDetail

Thanks,
Joosep

1000's members here have the Lii500 and you almost never hear anything bad about them . batteries are harder to get out compared to other chargers ? the ability of any of them to give very accurate internal resistance numbers might be questioned but using them as an approximation or an insight as to what's going on inside your cell .

I think they are all good cheap chargers that do a lot compared to what people were buying just a few years ago .

There's no right or wrong answers here

No ones going BOOM and Kala isn't a real blonde

I’ve had 3 opus’ and all 3 are shot. I’ve accidentally put primary lithiums, inserted batteries in backwards into my liitokala and it’s still working well and it was purchased approximately the same time as my opus

I’ve only got the smaller LKs, not the big’un, and have the Zanf and Ope, and an almighty Miboxer.

The Ope is my usual go-to just ’cause it does things the others don’t. What, offhand, I don’t recall. The almighty Miboxer only does something in slot 4 (and not in 1/2/3), the Zanf doesn’t do something else, no idea, as it’s all a blur.

My only real complaint about the Ope is that it gets heatstroke easily, and with any appreciable current in/out the fan starts buzzing like an angry bumblebee. Also blew the thermal breaker once it was cooking so hot. No damage, just a “wtf??” moment until it reset. I heard the click, so knew it was intentional.

Anyhoo, I got one of those cellphone holders on a flexipipe, and have the Ope “standing up”, ie, fan on top, so that hot air naturally wafts up’n’out instead of having the fan do all the work. Helps a lot. Still buzzes like an angry bumblebee, but not all the time vs when lying flat.

I have the Lii 500 & the Opus.

Lii 500 for me… no question. . :+1:
