Might be interested. Don’t put me down for one yet. What’s the weight difference between this and the FW3A?

all LEDs will be possible! (same as FW3A) but due to thermal disadvantages of Titanium the SST20 is recommended!

How is SST20 recommended, while it’s the LED option that produces the most heat?

Hopefully not.

Titanium tends to stick when it rubs with itself. Titanium switch boot would probably be awful. Better to stick with a steel boot.

This is precisely the kind of light that I would love with RGB aux LEDboard.

I love stonewashed titanium. And I would buy one for sure if the head would be copper. Otherwise I’m only interested.

Possible interest. I personally like bead blasted titanium, what’s the difference between stonewashed and bead blasted finishes?

Yes, why ? I always thought the coolest running led was the XP-L…

Neal had written about the SST20 - maybe a missunderstanding

they will test the full Ti of course and maybe dactivate the FET if needed too

The SST-20 5000k/6500k is the most efficient in a light like the FW3A.

Actually I think XPL HI is the most efficient (in terms of lumens per watt). It produces more lumens and less heat than even the cool white SST-20.

The cool white SST-20 is throwier though. In terms of lux per watt it might be more efficient.

No, it’s actually more efficient.

Up until 5A, the SST-20 is more efficient than the XP-L HI.

Interested in one with HiCRI Samsung LH351D

My rules for flashlights:
1) Always have an option for Neutral, Warm, HiCRI
2) Just say "NO!" to proprietary cells and battery packs
3) Have a KISS interface: no scrolling through blinky modes

(I'm also PhantomPhoton on CPF; reddit.com/r/flashlights; LPF)
