Recomend me a new work light

So I’m a mechanic, and for a couple of years I’ve been using a Narva 71330. I’ts been good, but it’s just about at the end of it’s usable life, rubber parts missing, case cracked, 2nd battery pack not holding a charge etc etc.
Now, a couple of guys in the workshop have small aa sized things, one snapon, one sp. Now, I’m sure they work well enough, with the ripoff pricing to go with them
So, really what i’m after if possible:
Size/form- nothing huge. Really not all that important. Same as form, i’m used to a normal worklight form, but doesn’t matter if its a small flashlight or a 90degree light etc, but would prefer some sort of magnetic mount, either standard or add on.
Rechargeable battery, preferably in light, or in a dock etc. Want to avoid taking batteries out etc.
Rugged- It’s going to be dropped. Possibly in various liquids like oil or coolant (I’ll try not to, but it happens)
And lastly, price- not much. If there is nothing lower priced I’ll begrudgingly splash more, but at the moment I’d like to stick to the lower end of the budget scale if possible.

Let me know if I’m dreaming  and thank you.

I’m guessing something with a magnetic charge port might suit. Or one that you unscrew the head to expose the charge port.

I just get the feeling a rubber flap covered micro USB port is not going to stay water resistant for long and/or collect debris if it gets opened with gritty fingers.

I have two Zanflare F1 lights that I find too bulky for what they are. But they may just be what you are looking for: seems tough and waterproof, and has micro-USB charging behind a sturdy ring.

If Australia was around the corner, I’d send one to you.

Edit: I may be wrong, the F1 is not really floody and has no magmetic base.

What size are you looking at?
If you are willing to carry a littebit larger then AA, an 18650 tube light might suit, otherwise a headlamp maybe?

Tool 2.0 with some DC Fix on the lens —- has turned into my EDC — for close up work—-I’m also seeing I like cooler tint for darker colored parts

Would prefer a covered port vs something to unscrew to charge. Hands will be dirty using the thing sometimes, but its not an issue for charging (will most likely charge at the end of the day/after a service etc, and customers aren’t too happy about greasy hand prints in their car haha).

My current light is a big chunk of plastic, so it really doesn’t matter all that much. Main issue is the charging and some sort of magnetic mount to be honest.

Thanks for the the suggestions so far

Probably not what you’re looking for here, (likely qualifies as huge) but have you checked out the Braun rechargeable worklight from HF? Pretty decent light for ~$22 or whatever it is with the coupon.

I wouldn’t recommend anything magnetic for a mechanic. I use my Skilhunt RC in a metalshop occasionally and it’s a pita to get all the small metal parts of the magnets. Plus most magnetic charging ports arn’t isolated, rub some steel wool over them and u ’ll see sparks.
